Job Description

Tesla is looking for a goal-oriented Yard Material Handler at Gigafactory Nevada. This position involves materials handling for the Construction Trades Teams. Unloading vendor material deliveries, stocking materials, gathering materials for trades order requests and accurate delivery of materials to Construction Trades Teams.

• Responsibilities include but not limited to material receiving, stocking, picking, tracking and delivery
• Perform material counts and/or yard checks
• Work closely with Construction Trades teams
• Support Construction Trades Team best practices at all times
• Complete tasks as directed by yard schedule and within standard times
• Physical work including but not limited to pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to perform standardized work process and defined work instructions
• Positive energy and attitude are a must
• Will be responsible for performing job duties as a Yard Material Handler
• Will ensure all vendor deliveries are accurate and filled to order
• Responsible for the daily inspection of trucks, and yard equipment, including safety checks while adhering to applicable regulations and procedures
• Complete and submit all documentation in a timely manner
• Department responsibilities include but not limited to using a sit-down forklift to unload inbound shipments, move product, replenish, stack and store trades materials.

• High School diploma or equivalent, or evidence of exceptional ability
• Must have strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. on a daily basis
• Ability to work with a team and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb to enter yard equipment, on a frequent basis
• Ability to operate sit-down forklift and reach forklift
• Ability to reach at different heights (4-5 ft.) repetitively
• Endure and safely operate in extreme weather and climate conditions (outdoor work)
• Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused
• Current forklift certification strongly preferred
• A valid U.S. driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and acceptable driving record (subject to review)
• Must be able to work as assigned both outdoors and indoors, including in a warehouse environment.
• Must have a safe driving record.
• Experience using a sit-down forklift, preferably within the last year.
