Job description:Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various imaging techniques, ensuring high-quality images are produced while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Duties

Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly. Operate imaging equipment proficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures performed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret images and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology, including PET scans and mammography. Assist in urgent care settings as needed, providing timely imaging services for trauma cases at Level I Trauma Centers.

Qualifications

Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Experience with various imaging modalities such as sonography, PET scans, and mammography is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions during diagnostic evaluations. Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for patients undergoing imaging procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly in urgent care settings.
