Job Description


: The Clinical Mental Health Professional utilizes clinical expertise to perform psychosocial assessments, develop and implement plans of care appropriate care team, assess crisis situations to appropriately provide needed resources and or referrals for the patient, and to provide family and individual treatment as indicated. This position works collaboratively with patients, patient\'s significant other, families, healthcare providers, insurers, community resources, and all other involved parties. This position provides care appropriate to the established plan of care in the assigned patient population.

Scope

  • Provides comprehensive intake examinations and behavioral health assessments, and determines accurate DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnoses based on clinical information.
  • 2. Provides behavioral health services to individuals, couples, families and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
  • 3. Makes appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of the immediacy of primary care.
  • Maintains complete and timely clinical records on all clients.
  • Provides consultation to other staff members as requested and participates in staffing of cases.
  • Provides consultation and education services to individuals, agencies, institutions and groups as assigned. Participates in staff training and attends staff meetings.
  • Responsible for the review of client files to assess dangerousness and violence evaluation of family violence referrals.
  • Responsible for making referrals to a variety of social services and medical resources as needed.
  • Participates in the screening process of new referrals to the department as needed.
  • Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Required
  • Masters degree in Social Work is required
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire is required
  • Two (2) years clinical experience in related field is required
Preferred
  • Current LCSW in the State of Montana; for the MSW candidate the ability to obtain SWLC within3 months of hire

  • Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment.
  • Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn new applications relevant to the position.
  • The ability to develop MSW staff toward licensure requirements is also a requirement.

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
  • This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
  • Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $26.75 - $47.52
