Job Description

McIntosh Box & Pallet is a packaging company that has been in business for over 60 years with over 400 employees across 13 locations. We have seven Plants in New York State, West Virginia, Virginia, one in Maine, and a new start up in Winchester New Hampshire.

We are looking for a technically skilled individual with excellent attention to detail for the position of a working foreman. This is a new start up location for McIntosh. Your job duties include oversee employees, checking quality, making daily inspections of the facility, and handling any complaints or customer service issues. You will work with the Plant Manager to carry out all policies and regulations. This position will have the knowledge of working with wood processing equipment to cut material and repair pallets and skids. This role will also be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will be sorted or repaired properly, safely, and efficiently, and material always is at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Duties:

• Responsibility for daily production requirements of assigned crews.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the positive enforcement of the company\'s and customer\'s policies, procedures, and daily work requirements.
• Assists the Plant Manager with equipment repairs and the scheduling of Preventive Maintenance.
• Assists the Plant Manager in the bidding of work.
• Obtains necessary permissions for crews to begin work.
• Knowledge of running wood processing equipment such as Cut-Off saws, Notchers, and Stake Pointers
• Knowledge of building specialty pallets and skids
• Operate a forklift
• Perform maintenance on equipment such as changing blades and greasing
• Adhere to safety management standards
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
• Knowledge of operating and managing technical equipment

• Must demonstrate ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with general public, customers, fellow employees, supervisors and corporate personnel.
• Must have met all qualifications of a Foreman
