Underground Utilities Foreman

RedStone Construction Group is currently accepting applications for a Pipe Foreman wanting to advance their construction career. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively and safely supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of utility pipes, and study project specifications to plan sequencing and installation.

This is a working foreman position. You\'ll be doing the same work as the crew you lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a laborers/crew.
• Uses heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill drainage pipe.
• Sequences pipe installation to reduce inference with other project activities and the public.
• Continually inspects work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Responsible for crew safety and establishes safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program.
• Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Analyzes job cost reports to ensure production is within budget.
• Perform various tasks at job site with equipment provided.
• Complete and approve weekly timecard related to assigned job.
• Meet job completion deadlines.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Produce a high quality of work.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Observe Company policies and procedures.
• Observe Company safety rules and regulations.
• Present a positive attitude about the Company and the job and maintains professional relationship with Owner.

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to read plans.
• Good communication skills.
• Team Player.
• Previous experience directing other employees and organizing work.
• Ability to comprehend and complete instructions given by supervisor.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Work environment is consistent of an office and facility with construction equipment inventory and repair/service shop and may also include construction job site.
• Noise levels can be loud.
• Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area.
• PPE must comply with site specific requirements.
• Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping.
