Job Purpose:

The Claims Adjuster has a vital role in the Anchorage, Alaska office of Penser North America. We are looking for a Licensed Workers Compensation Medical Only Claims Adjuster. This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed adjuster looking to learn AK workers' compensation. Training and mentoring are provided and ambition for growth and promotion is encouraged. This position is primarily an in-person office role with some exceptional opportunities to work from home.

Responsibilities:

Oversee management of Medical Only workers' compensation claims pursuant to the Alaska WC Statutes. Frequent communication with all appropriate parties involved with the claim. Prepare necessary state filings within statutory limits. Able to gather relevant information to assist in the investigation and evaluation of the claim. Identify claim issues as they arise and take appropriate steps to resolve them. Ability to timely identify time loss in accordance with AK Statutes and write up claims for transfer. Coordinate timely correspondence and proper documentation between the Workers Compensation Board, attorneys, medical facilities, and employers as required. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team environment in a cooperative manner. Ability to maintain professional client relationships. SALARY will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Other Requirements:

Must have a current AK Independent Adjuster License in good standing 2+ years' work experience in claims/claims office Ability to work from home productively and reliably commute to the Anchorage office when needed.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
