Boise Cascade has been in the business of manufacturing wood products and distributing building materials for over half a century. Opportunity/Project Duties




Understand how to write documentation or prepare help screens for users, operations, and future program maintenance. Learn about system enhancements by discussing change requirements with users and other analysts. Work in a team software development environment to review code, make enhancements, and test changes. Additional projects include systems enhancement or programming involving data extraction, data creation, updating multiple files, storage and databases, data presentation, as well as reporting.



Qualifications




Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand Java or other object-oriented programming (OOP) language Have a general understanding of how to work with an IDE and source control Be able to design simple web pages with user input fields and have some experience with modern front-end framework (i.e. Vue, React) Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. General office experience, knowledgeable in the basic operation of standard telecommunications and office equipment. Computer Skills required; Microsoft Office 365 and OneNote.



Skills You Will Develop




Adaptability and openness to change and ability to anticipate problems and provide innovative solutions through data driven analytics. Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and technological advances that maximize operating efficiency. How to communicate effectively in individual and group situations adjusting language or terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Detailed knowledge of software development in support of financial systems for a large company Understand project management concepts, systems, and techniques.
