Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stains, coatings, and specialty finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Execute construction painting tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial sites with attention to detail and safety protocols Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute renovation and restoration projects Perform plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall finishing to create smooth surfaces ready for painting Install fixtures, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and perform basic carpentry tasks necessary for comprehensive remodeling projects Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed while maintaining accurate records of work performed Conduct maintenance tasks such as fixture installation, concrete finishing, welding, or masonry repairs as needed during projects

Qualifications

Proven experience in residential or commercial painting including construction site experience with a focus on renovation or restoration projects Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and airless paint sprayers under various weather conditions Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes that meet client preferences and project specifications Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating materials Experience with plastering, stucco application, caulking techniques, drywall finishing, masonry work or related trades is highly desirable Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites including proper handling of tools like welders or masonry equipment Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly in winter conditions while maintaining high-quality standards
