AdventHealth Winter Garden is a state-of-the-art hospital with 80 beds, offering a wide range of health care services. These include emergency care, surgical services, lab work, primary and specialty care, imaging, spine health, womens and mens care, pediatric-friendly services, and moreall in one convenient location. AdventHealth Winter Garden is undergoing a major expanding that will add three additional floors to the hospital's patient tower and bring additional women's services to West Orange County. Our hospital tower expansion will be completed in 2026. The AdventHealth Winter Garden tower expansion will add 40 new progressive care unit beds, obstetrics and gynecology (including labor and delivery). One floor will be dedicated to labor and delivery, and will include nine labor, delivery, and recovery beds, 10 postpartum beds, two C-section operating rooms, and future space for a level two Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The tower's expansion will also add space for more operating rooms, and a shell floor with capacity for 40 beds. AdventHealth Winter Garden is conveniently located in the Winter Garden Village, minutes from beautiful downtown Winter Garden and nearby Walt Disney World and the premier attractions of Orlando. The role you'll contribute:

The Dialysis RN provides direct nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis. Responsibilities include preparing and operating dialysis equipment, initiating and monitoring treatments, assessing patient responses, and documenting care accurately in the medical record. The RN manages vascular access, administers prescribed medications, responds to emergencies, and ensures adherence to infection control protocols. This role requires close collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans and educate patients on dialysis procedures. Responsible for strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN supports AdventHealths mission of whole-person care through compassionate, safe, and evidence-based nursing practice.

Communicates courteously with internal and external customers, demonstrating respect and developing positive working relationships. Collaborates with co-workers and other departments to assist with patient flow and ensure timely procedural care. Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice when delivering nursing services and ordering supplies. Rinses, primes, and positions equipment, attaches tubing, prepares dialysate, calibrates alarms, sets monitors, and performs system checks. Provides critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being. Performs patient assessments prior to treatment and proceeds based on assessments and physicians orders. Obtains blood samples and other specimens as indicated or ordered. Administer medications, blood, and blood products as ordered by the physician and according to policies. Assess and provide care for patients related to blood pressure, weight changes, access patency, lab values, dialysate composition, and fluid flows. Complete nursing notes after every dialysis treatment and communicate with the physician and primary nurse as needed. Clean and dress access sites and other wounds using appropriate aseptic techniques. Participate in patient and family teaching regarding dialysis treatment and dietary recommendations. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

:


Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing 1 year of RN experience required Specific experience as delineated by the unit of employment Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred qualifications:

Dialysis nursing experience Experience with Acute/Inpatient dialysis Medical/surgical, ICU, CCU, and ER experience Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
