Overview

We are seeking a skilled Winter Equipment Operator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery during winter conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and mechanical knowledge, with hands-on experience operating various types of heavy equipment. This position requires a commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in challenging weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks for snow removal and other winter operations. Manage the operation of concrete mixers, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks as needed. Perform routine maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks on construction sites effectively. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment in various weather conditions. Assist in the transportation of materials and equipment to job sites as required.

Experience

Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is essential, particularly with Caterpillar machinery. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred. Construction site experience is highly desirable to understand site dynamics and safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues on-site. Experience operating farm machinery can be beneficial for candidates transitioning into this role. In addition we are seeking to fill multiple shoveling positions, must be reliable, have dependable transportation to our facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $38.00 per hour
