This position manages and plans all weddings and social related events at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa, in the Vail Valley. The Wedding Sales Specialist position requires a fully competent individual who has experience in the hotel sales process and function. Sales manager responsibilities include selling event spaces, food and beverage services, guest rooms, and other resort services to Hyatt customers. The starting salary for this position is $61,800. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. Role specific job responsibilities include:

  • Creating and tracking sales account activity in Hyatt\xe2\x80\x99s proprietary Envision software.
  • Conducting in person and virtual site inspections.
  • Hosting and/ or attending market specific trade events.
  • Preparing and presenting effective sales calls and proposals.
  • Maintaining well organized documentation and reports in Hyatt systems.
  • Working as a team member with the sales and catering staff and in close contact with other support staff.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales revenue goal.
  • Plan, arrange, organize, and execute events while meeting or exceeding client/customer expectations.
  • Prioritize tasks and independently manage workflow based on appropriate needs and demands and the department\'s policy and procedures.
  • Clearly communicate policies, procedures and services offered by the hotel with clients/customers.
  • Coordinate and communicate event logistics (responsibilities, timelines, etc.) with other departments in order to meet or exceed client/customer expectations, through Hyatt\xe2\x80\x99s property management software.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of customer service issues or concerns.
  • Manage work schedule to strategically be on-site during critical event times (greetings, breaks, etc.), as needed.
  • Reconcile final invoices with Finance Department, and client/customer.
  • Additional duties as determined by Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Attend EO/Resume meetings, Sales/Event Planning team meetings, Sales/marketing meetings as requested.
  • Prepare and be prepared to lead Weekly Group Resume meetings or Daily Standup meeting for the team\'s clients or your own.

Qualifications
  • Must have experience with Events, preferably weddings
  • Self-motivated and understand Hyatt\xe2\x80\x99s core purpose of Care
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and work well within a team environment
  • High attention to detail required
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as required
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Property Management system.
