As a member of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort team, you will meet and engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer and help them experience our world-class amenities such as the state-of-the-art Wild Bear Falls water park.



As Waterpark Supervisor, you will:

• Must be willing to work any day of the week including holidays
• Plan, prepare, participate, arrange & conduct in-service training
• Supervise the lifeguard staff, cope with large groups and noise levels, including children, monitoring both visually and audibly to ensure adherence to safety, and facility rules and health standards
• Apply appropriate disciplinary action for violations, and reports all disciplinary problems to the Manager
• Enter the water to rescue individuals in trouble and uses the necessary aid to revive them
• Must be a strong swimmer to assist in rescue operations and certified as an American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguard
• Administer first aid as necessary
• Fill out daily log and tallies guest participation
• Display sound judgment and make on the spot quick decisions to ensure the safety of all users of the waterpark area
• Skills in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training skills, including CPR and Basic First Aid
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment
• Ability to work long hours during extended service times, if warranted Skills in basic swimming strokes including but not limited to breaststroke, crawl stroke, side stroke, and elementary backstroke
• Teaches American Red Cross programs such as Lifeguard, swim lessons, CPR, and first aid
• Use of computer skills as needed
• Enforce safety rules and procedures with resort guests
• Keep waterpark areas neat and clean. Maintain inventory of waterpark items as needed with enthusiasm, energy, drive, job devotion, and personal ambition
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of adult/children sports, games, activities, and entertainment
• Ability to work well with others, as well as independently
