Education: High school or equivalent.Experience: One year of general experience. One year of specialized experience in warehousing work or related activities. One year in a supervisory capacity or PER documented potential to effectively supervise.

Major Duties




Supervises identification, inspection, and count of merchandise; stocking of shelves; assembling, pulling, checking, and repacking of merchandise; and maintenance of storage areas, including price changes and re-warehousing. Ensures accurate files maintenance documentation for the warehouse locator system, where appropriate.

Supervises completion of shipping documents; inspection of shipping containers for proper packing; verification of quantity against transfer vouchers; and loading of shipment onto out going trucks. Schedules and dispatches vehicles; ensures an effective maintenance and repair program for assigned trucks and forklifts; and completion of required documentation. Verifies/ensures verification that the most current price tags are included with the applicable merchandise.

Plans, schedules work, and provides supervision of tractor-trailer operators and yard drivers. Monitors the movers program and ensures compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules for tractor-trailer and monitors driver trip tickets and assures driver compliance with ICC regulations and with ESM 50-1 (Vehicle Management). Monitors vehicle utilization to ensure EQUA mileage and usage accumulations. Schedules Hawaii distribution center pickup/backhauls and prepares periodic backhaul reports.

Ensures emergency maintenance and repairs are performed on vehicles according to AAFES directives. Reviews route schedules periodically and makes recommendations for changes to management.

Assists in conducting and participates in the taking of periodic and special inventories. Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations. Initiates work orders for repair and maintenance. Ensures the security of cash, fixed assets, and merchandise inventory.

Supervises assigned people. Establishes work schedules; assigns and distributes work; counsels people; prepares and/or approves performance reviews; approves/disapproves leave requests; conducts or supervises the conduct of people training; recommends people actions; and performs other supervisory functions.

Keeps abreast of, actively supports, and as required, implements the provisions of pertinent public laws, executive orders, and directives relating to the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program within the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

Performs other duties as assigned.
