The Warehouse Technician is responsible for a variety of routine warehouse duties involving the receiving, unloading, inventory, storing, movement, and distribution of goods and materials at the Florence Copper site. This position plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory and operations within the Florence Copper warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and unload goods and materials
Update and maintain inventory records, conduct periodic cycle counts, and manage stock levels
Process pick tickets and issue materials to departments in accordance with work orders
Communicate with other departments to notify of any possible delays
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift or other light equipment
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations
Coordinate with team members and vendors to ensure timely receipt and procurement of materials
Other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years' experience in warehouse operations
Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills
Experience with operating a forklift and other light equipment
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse environment
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift certification
Work Environment:
This position will include warehouse work, but some work will be performed in all-weather conditions outdoors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper's site safety program.
