There are many small towns located near there, but it is also close to Little Rock, AR, Shreveport, LA, and less than a days drive from New Orleans. Warehouse Clerk Role Summary This position reports to the Stores Manager and will provide support for all aspects of storeroom and warehouse management. Responsible for ensuring an efficient operation in accordance with company standards. Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconciliation of inbound shipments
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts
  • Use a computer to enter records
  • Cycle count items
  • Perform audits
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
  • Fill parts requests for plant employees
  • Unload incoming shipments
  • Prepare outgoing shipments
  • Provide escort services to delivery drivers and vendors
  • Other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Abilities & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines are required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail a must.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar software programs desired.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and can be approved by our insurance carrier for operation of company vehicles off site.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and provide 24/7 support to plant operations if necessary.
  • Willingness to work around dust, chemicals, high temperature, loud noises, and running equipment.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots and hearing protection) in addition to full face respirator as necessary in emergencies
  • Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs.
