Qualifications - VP Lending Officer
Related college degree, successful completion of banking courses or equivalent work experience is required
At least 6 years of relevant banking experience
5-7 years of commercial credit sales, business development sales and/or business-to-business sales experience.
Solid knowledge of financial lending regulations
Results oriented, sales aptitude with demonstrated ability to achieve organizational and business goals.
Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, required
Responsibilities - VP Lending Officer
Originate, review, and prepare concept memos for commercial loan requests.
Manage loan portfolios, monitoring the financial condition of accounts in relation to acceptable risk, while keeping credit and collateral exceptions to a minimum.
Interview commercial loan applicants to develop financial and credit information, to determine needs, abilities, earnings, and risk; request needed information, such as financial and operating statements.
Manage customer relationships on originated loans through closing. Make periodic site visits to customer within defined market region to provide compliance with annual review documentation from borrowers.
Cross sell bank services to existing loan relationships and manage relationships.
Utilize decision tools and credit analysis skills to make appropriate credit and structuring decisions.
Assume accountability for proper documentation and review of accounts in a timely manner.
Partner with branches to develop skills for customer prospecting and call execution.
Evaluate loan servicing data, research issues along with exceptions and execute appropriate changes.
Develop and maintain business relationships and referral sources throughout the community.
Seek to expand bank product usage to current customers by cross selling all types of deposit accounts, loan accounts, and services during customer contacts and interviews.
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customer needs.
Maintain and apply a thorough understanding of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s lending policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages.
Participate in community-oriented and professional organizations to determine the various depository and credit needs of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s market area to support Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) objective.
Completes annual required compliance training.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
