The Role at a Glance



This position will, with the input of senior management, set strategy and lead initiatives impacting assigned segments of Lincoln\xe2\x80\x99s legacy inforce business. They\'ll build and execute a strategy to improve business results, balancing customer equity with shareholder equity. They\'ll champion innovation, business development, and investment solutions that will benefit the inforce block of business. They\'ll communicate with senior management and will ensure that the value proposition and market conduct of inforce management actions are consistent with Lincoln\'s strategic direction and branding.




What you\'ll be doing


  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with executive/senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
  • Leads the identification, development, and implementation of strategic process improvements that improve quality across the team, business unit, and/or the organization for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Leads and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides highly specialized expertise and thought leadership to internal/external stakeholders for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Contributes to business unit/operational and enterprise strategy creation for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Builds organizational capability within their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Leads/executes approved strategy for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides highly specialized expertise and thought leadership to develop and lead strategies to expand inforce management through innovative initiatives
  • Collaborates with marketing leadership to position solutions in an open and easy-to-understand manner, consistent with enterprise goals
  • Proactively partners with senior management to develop and implement appropriate policies and practices to mitigate risk
  • Liaises with industry workgroups and/or regulatory authorities to influence and advise on evolving practices and approaches
  • Monitors and/or oversees the monitoring of developments in the financial landscape and regulatory environment applicable to company operations and/or actuarial science
  • Leads analysis of competitive intelligence, market research, and industry patterns; provides guidance on how to apply actuarial practices in novel ways without precedent
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to coordinate enterprise actions for Lincoln\xe2\x80\x99s legacy inforce business

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for


  • 4 Year/Bachelor\'s degree (or equivalent) (Minimum Required)
  • FSA Credentials
  • 12+ Years of actuarial experience with insurance industry experience directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role (Required)

Pay Range: $145,700 - $265,400


Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln\xe2\x80\x99s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln\xe2\x80\x99s standard benefits package.
