\xe2\x80\xa2 BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar degree CPA or MBA \xe2\x80\xa2 20+ years of successful experience in financial leadership and management with a strong background in finance, accounting and controllership. \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding the day-to-day of working in a high-growth, fast-paced and complex B2B setting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Industry experience with software/technology companies.

Amazon is seeking a Vice President, Finance to support AIS. The leader in this role will oversee the organization that provides data driven analysis, strategic decision support, financial planning, and controllership to teams that plan and build data centers, design and source servers, and develop and sell our cloud services at massive scale to developers and businesses all over the world.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage all short and long-term strategic financial objectives of the business, supporting the executive team with key financial information and operational analytics, and driving a culture of accountability in managing the business.
  • Drive the business to develop challenging goals, business plans and financial plans and work with the VPs of each business to deliver against these plans.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and people designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organization.
  • Lead the planning and analysis for the business including monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reviews.
  • Work with the finance teams, accounting and internal audit to build a culture of integrity, controllership and auditing to find and correct areas of exposure.
  • Motivate and lead a globally distributed, high-performing finance team using the Amazon Leadership Principles (LPs) as guideposts by developing and coaching existing teams and retaining top-tier talent, as well as driving external recruiting (MBAs, undergraduates, interns, and industry hires).
  • Exhibit in words and action a passion for inclusion and diversity (I&D). Be not only an active participant, but a leader on Amazon\xe2\x80\x99s I&D initiatives.
