Job Summary:

The Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator conducts and leads volunteer recruitment activities while developing and maintaining external community relationships. This position also provides support for fundraising activities and social media initiatives. With a primary focus on recruiting volunteers for Vantage\'s home and community- based services (Meals on Wheels and Home Wellness Solutions) this key role works closely with the Vantage Leadership team, staff, and the general community in multiple counties to support Vantage\'s mission by recruiting a robust team of volunteers to provide home delivered meals and friendly visitor services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and evaluate volunteer recruitment initiatives for Vantage Aging\'s Home and Community-Based services (Meals on Wheels, Home Wellness Solutions) to achieve annual goals and meet contractual obligations.
  • Schedule, coordinate and perform presentations at community events to recruit volunteers and to raise awareness about Vantage Aging\'s Home and Community-Based Services.
  • Present ideas for new recruitment activities and annual planning to the Director of HCBS.
  • Share prospective Volunteer data in a timely manner with Program Directors.
  • Collaborate with Vantage Staff to assist prospective HCBS volunteers with successful training
  • Perform volunteer recruitment activities by collecting information, providing information, maintaining files and statistics.
  • Develop, implement, and follow annual plans for HCBS volunteer recruitment and media calendar.
  • Engage, build, and monitor relationships while seeking new opportunities and initiatives to increase awareness for Vantage Aging\'s HCBS and to develop referral and networking resources for successful volunteer recruitment.
  • Attend community networking events on a frequent basis to generate interest in volunteering for Vantage Aging\'s Home and Community Based programs.
  • Develop, coordinate and host community informational meetings with potential community partners and volunteers.
Education and/or Work-Related Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor\'s degree preferred
  • One-year professional experience, preferably working directly with volunteers
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and deadlines
  • Ability to pass an Ohio BCII background investigation and FBI Investigation at the time of employment
