Under the general supervision of the Quality Manager, the Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the Providence Hospice Volunteer Program. Volunteer supervision includes recruitment, screening, orientation and training assignment of duties and ongoing supervision, individual and group support, retention, and recognition. Collaborates with Providence Alaska Medical Center (PAMC) Volunteer Services program as needed to comply with all state and federal guidelines for volunteer activities. The Volunteer Services Coordinator collaborates with Bereavement Program in providing support and acts as a co-facilitator of the scheduled grief groups, community-based activities, and marketing strategies for the Providence Hospice Program. • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
• Two years' Experience in program coordination, volunteer management, and/or human resource development or closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Related area.

About the Team Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint. HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
