Under the general supervision of the Quality Manager, the Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the Providence Hospice Volunteer Program. Volunteer supervision includes recruitment, screening, orientation and training assignment of duties and ongoing supervision, individual and group support, retention, and recognition. Collaborates with Providence Alaska Medical Center (PAMC) Volunteer Services program as needed to comply with all state and federal guidelines for volunteer activities. The Volunteer Services Coordinator collaborates with Bereavement Program in providing support and acts as a co-facilitator of the scheduled grief groups, community-based activities, and marketing strategies for the Providence Hospice Program.
