A visiting scholar position is available in the Division of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology, College of Pharmacy, The Ohio State University. Our key research theme is the rational design of non-viral gene therapy for serious diseases, inspired by the intrinsic nature of extracellular vesicle (EV)-mediated intercellular communication, with a particular focus on EV-DNA. Our highly multidisciplinary and collaborative research spans pharmaceutical engineering, materials chemistry, EV biology, immunology, protein and genetic engineering, and data science. The current focuses of our group include engineering core-shell lipid nanoparticles; functional and mechanistic exploration of immune cell-derived EVs (iEVs) and iEV DNA; and translational therapeutics, vaccines and biomarkers development.
The candidate will plan, design and execute experiments of considerable scope and complexity; coordinate the processing and analysis of data; develop and troubleshoot new experimental techniques and protocols; draft and publish the manuscript; co-supervise graduate students and train/educate other laboratory personnel.
