Position Overview

Vision Elite Athletics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Basketball Program Director

to oversee the growth, operations, and execution of our youth basketball program. This role requires a strong background in basketball operations, leadership, and program development. As a

1099 Independent Contractor

, the Program Director will work under contract to deliver specific services, manage program logistics, and ensure that Vision Elite Athletics maintains its reputation as a premier youth basketball organization.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Leadership

Plan, organize, and oversee basketball programs, leagues, and tournaments. Recruit, evaluate, and support coaches, trainers, and volunteers. Develop and maintain relationships with players, parents, and community partners.

Event & Team Operations

Coordinate practices, games, showcases, and special events. Manage team schedules, rosters, and league participation. Ensure compliance with Vision Elite Athletics standards, policies, and expectations.

Player Development & Scouting

Oversee training and development plans for athletes. Monitor player performance, provide feedback, and support long-term growth. Collaborate with recruiting/scouting services for player exposure opportunities.

Business & Administrative Support

Assist with program marketing, promotion, and social media outreach. Support registration processes, fee collection, and program communications. Maintain accurate reports and updates to Vision Elite Athletics leadership.
Qualifications

Prior experience in basketball coaching, operations, or program management. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Knowledge of grassroots basketball and AAU/club-level operations preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation & Structure

This is a

1099 Independent Contractor position

; not an employee role. Contractor is responsible for their own

taxes, insurance, and expenses

. Compensation will be based on contracted services (per event, program, or monthly stipend as agreed).

Pay: $500.00 - $5,000.00 per year
