We are looking to add a dynamic and innovative Vice President of Development and Marketing. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Development and Marketing serves as leadership team member, responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive plan for developing key external relationships to cultivate individual and philanthropic support of the agency programs. This position will also lead, develop, and execute the Agency s marketing and communications strategy. In partnership with the President & CEO, this position is responsible for all fundraising, including major gifts, planned giving, and special events; moves management (donor identification, prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) and assessment of key performance indicators and outcomes. The Vice President of Development and Marketing will have the primary responsibility for establishing and implementing a structure needed to grow the solicitation of major gifts, federal, and state grants, and foundation support. This position is tasked with building a diverse donor base/pipeline and working closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives and internal infrastructure building as needed. In addition, the Vice President of Development and Marketing will work with the Board of Directors and support board members as needed. It is expected that the amount raised will increase in future years as the Vice President of Development and Marketing systematically and effective strengthens the Agency s overall funding capacity.   • Business acumen associated with a master s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related discipline.
  • 10 plus years of demonstrated ability of development and marketing experience, which will include prospecting, cultivating, and managing donor activities, grant writing, or other proven methods of obtaining funding for nonprofit service activities.
  • Experience with social media, public relations, and events
  • Proven ability to effectively evaluate, analyze, and interpret fundraising data and information to advance development activities.
  • 5 - 10 plus years of progressive leadership experience within a service-based nonprofit organization, demonstrating the ability to: think strategically, execute established plans, effectively manage staff, and financial resources and achieve results consistent with the organization s mission
  • Demonstrated commitment to servant leadership as well as the spiritual and service values of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively, both in person and in writing, with key stakeholders, constituents, government agencies, and associates of supporting entities.
  • Professional acumen to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and President and Board of Directors to develop and implement fundraising and program strategies to support the mission and goals of the Agency.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop annual staffing plans and implement robust, achievable development goals that are tied to the agency overarching strategic plans and ensure accountability.
  • Knowledge to provide direction on the funding potential of established and future programs. Works closely with other departments to forecast funding
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products
Working Conditions This position may require the incumbent to engage in overnight travel up to 25% of the time and local travel appropriate to the performance of duties and responsibilities. This individual will be required to evacuate with the Executive team for natural disasters. As such, the incumbent must have:
  • Current driver s license issued by the state of residence, inspection decal, and vehicle insurance
  • Current vehicle registration in the state of residence
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
