VCA Ponti Animal Hospital in Otis Orchards, Washington is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join their small animal, exotic, and wildlife practice!

Responsibilities of our Veterinary Assistants:

Our Veterinary Assistants provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients. We provide a progressive learning environment to guide your career path, and encourage Veterinary Assistants to utilize their skills to broaden their abilities.

• Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.
• Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
• Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
• Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
• Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.
• Complete estimates, basic record keeping.
• Surgical preparation and assisting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ months of clinical experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling. We utilize a 4 x 10 hour work week.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $17 - 19/ hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
