At Campus Commons Pet Hospital, we're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant (VA) to join our friendly and experienced team. You'll be part of a supportive environment where teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude are at the heart of everything we do.

About Us

We're a busy, general practice hospital providing high-quality care to a loyal community of pet parents. Our medical team, led by Dr. Krista Prato Matthews and supported by our Hospital Manager, Jessica, combines over seven years of ER and GP experience.


We take pride in creating a space where everyone helps each other out, nothing is taken personally, and we all share responsibility for making each day run smoothly.

What We Offer

Monday-Friday schedule, 8.30 - 5.30 / 9 - 6 Part-time hours (2-3 days per week) with the option of full-time hours in the future Work alongside experienced DVMs, RVTs, and support staff Hands-on experience with Idexx diagnostics, dental radiography, and same-day echos/ultrasounds Career growth opportunities as we move toward AAHA accreditation and Fear Free Certification A fun, inclusive culture (yes, we even run a fantasy football league!)

What You'll Do

Assist veterinarians and RVTs with patient exams, treatments, and procedures Support dental cleanings, x-rays, and lab diagnostics Maintain clean, organized, and safe clinical spaces Provide compassionate handling and care to all patients Communicate clearly with clients and team members to ensure great experiences for pets and their people

About You

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant Calm, confident, and compassionate with animals of all temperaments Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative environment Dependable, proactive, and positive - ready to jump in wherever needed

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, VetnCare is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00 dependent on experience.


This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The pay range for this role is:
