We are seeking a reliable and hardworking independent contractor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for stocking, maintaining, and servicing our state-of-the-art smoothie vending machines. Additionally, the candidate may be required to promote our products and train customers on how to use the vending machines, as needed. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Stocking and Replenishment:
Refill vending machines.
Receive shipments and ensure products are stocked in a neat and organized manner.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance duties as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair minor issues.
Coordinate with technical support for more complex repairs.
Cleaning and Upkeep:
Clean vending machines regularly to maintain a hygienic and appealing appearance.
Ensure vending machine areas are tidy and free of debris.
Route Management:
Follow a predetermined route to service multiple vending machine locations.
Ensure timely and efficient completion of the route.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and inventory used.
Customer Training
Train customers on how to use vending machines, including payment systems, product selection, and refund procedures.
Demonstrate features such as cashless payment options or nutritional information displays to customers.
Promoting Products
Educate customers about the benefits of our healthy snack and beverage options.
Provide recommendations based on customer preferences and location demographics.
Support product promotions by setting up displays, offering product samples, or highlighting new arrivals.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of vending machine operations are a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
Basic math skills for managing cash and inventory.
Good with technology
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license
Work Environment:
Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Work involves frequent traveling between different locations in the Greater Boston area.
The role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
May involve working in various weather conditions.
