We are seeking a

Utility Technician I

to support the daily operations of our design center. This role focuses on either color matching or sample-making, ensuring high-quality products, maintaining production schedules, and following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet production schedule while maintaining product quality. Perform assembly, packaging, and shipping duties according to company SOPs. Conduct visual inspections and quality testing of product materials. Maintain accurate documentation using Salesforce. Communicate production issues and recommend improvements. Produce color matches or custom samples for customer approval. Maintain database of color matches or samples. Report daily/weekly progress and ensure proper shutdown of workstation. Communicate with Team Leader regarding time off or production delays. Work productively in a high-pressure environment and uphold quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of

5 years

of experience in Quality, Color Match, or Production. Minimum of

5 years

of Customer Service experience. Experience in Lean Six Sigma is preferred. Strong mathematical and basic computer skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, write, type, climb stairs, bend, carry, reach, push, and pull as needed. Able to lift and carry up to [insert weight if known] pounds. Work may occur indoors and outdoors; exposure to heat up to 120F, cold down to 0F, noise, dust, dirt, and hazardous materials may occur. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
