The Senior Manager II, Global Communications is a strategic thinker and communicator, thirsting for something new each day. Join the Global Communications team at Walmart and make an impact not only on the future of retail, but on topics and issues the whole world is watching. This position provides support for the Legal, Global Security, Aviation & Investigations and Office of the Corporate Secretary departments within Global Governance and supports other Global Governance initiatives. The role will have you thinking on your feet every day, pivoting and multi-tasking fluidly. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be leading 360 comms work, reaching diverse audiences both internally and externally. The ability to jump in with an executive presence and thought leadership is key.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll make an impact by:

• Providing strategic counsel to senior leaders to support strategic initiatives and advance business priorities through communication.
• Developing and executing comprehensive media plans to strengthen Walmart\xe2\x80\x99s reputation; understanding business and societal trends to identity proactive and reactive public relations opportunities; conducting media pitches; developing content for our Walmart\xe2\x80\x99s owned channels; monitoring and analyzing media coverage; and identifying new social and digital opportunities to share our story externally.
• Assisting senior management by identifying and influencing key internal and external stakeholders; developing creative internal communication strategies, plans and tactics, managing and supporting internal and external events, driving awareness and understanding among the more than two million members of our Walmart family about our goal to make Walmart the most trusted retailer. This could include work on social media strategies, content, publishing via appropriate channels and developing programmatic communications for the rollout of special projects.
• Supporting key external events, including annual shareholders\xe2\x80\x99 event and other conferences as necessary.
• Working with subject matter experts and legal to develop media statements, serving as a company spokesperson and developing strong media relationships.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and media relations, identify opportunities and support internal and external perception of Walmart Global Governance.
