Job Description

Clinical Department Supervisor III



Overview:



The Clinical Department Supervisor III oversees clinical operations within a department, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff performance, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. This leadership role includes supervising clinical staff, managing workflows, and collaborating with other departments to optimize patient outcomes.



Key Responsibilities:



o

Supervise and mentor clinical staff, including nurses, therapists, and support personnel



o

Monitor patient care quality, adherence to protocols, and clinical outcomes



o

Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and facility standards



o

Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and best practices



o

Coordinate staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and training programs



o

Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and departmental reporting



o

Serve as a liaison between the clinical team, administration, and other departments



o

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions



Qualifications:



o

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related clinical field (Master's preferred)



o

Current licensure as RN, LPN, or other applicable clinical license (if required by department)



o

Five (5) years of behavioral health experience required



o

Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting required



o

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills



o

Knowledge of clinical regulations, quality assurance, and patient safety standards



o

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical software systems



o

Must be at least 21 years of age



o

Valid AZ driver's license may be required



Work Environment:



o

Primarily onsite, with some hybrid/remote work available (based on company needs)



o

May require occasional travel to program sites/facilities



o

Requires frequent interaction with staff, patients, and administrative teams



o

Requires use of standard office equipment including computer, monitor, desk, chair, etc.



o

Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking



o

Requires decision-making in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
