University - Accounting Intern
The Opportunity:
The Corporate Controller team plays a critical role in accounting and financial reporting. We assess Booz Allen Hamilton's complex and technical accounting questions and prepare periodic financial reporting to management and for compliance purposes, such as Form 10-Q/K. We provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance, including analysis of new business initiatives, new accounting standards, development of accounting policies, and preparation of technical accounting memoranda.
That's why we need you, a corporate controller intern who wants to make an impact while strengthening your technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge. On our team, you'll cultivate your problem-solving, critical thinking, research, and technical skills.
This is your chance to gain real world experience in the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and enhance your understanding of financial reporting. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

• Experience with using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience with managing competing priorities and tasks
• Knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting standards
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Winter 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027

Nice If You Have:

• Knowledge of general information technology or information systems
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of excellent critical thinking, time management, and workload management skills
• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• CPA License

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $43,700.00 to $90,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
