Underground Utility Foreman/Operator Job description Local family owned Sitework and Underground Utility Company is seeking to hire an Underground Utility Foreman for Industrial, Commercial, and Residential Projects. Must have experience installing Sanitary Sewer, Potable Water, Fire Main, Electrical Conduit, and Storm Drainage pipe installation. Job Responsibilities The Utility Foreman is responsible for direct in-field supervision of a field crew working on all phases of underground utilities, maintenance, and repair operations. Operate one or more of the following pieces of equipment, Excavator, Dozer, Back Hoe, Front End Loader, and Skid steer. Oversee and lead crew from start to finish each day installing underground utilities. Provide training, guidance, and support for all field staff. Communicate with clients, when necessary. Attend meetings on a periodic basis. Ensure all job site goals including safety and productivity are met. Qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in underground utility installation \xe2\x80\xa2Knowledge of CFR 1926 OSHA construction regulations and field safety \xe2\x80\xa2Ability to read and interpret Blueprints \xe2\x80\xa2Ability to calculate elevations and percentages \xe2\x80\xa2Well-organized with Strong work ethic \xe2\x80\xa2Work safely and efficiently \xe2\x80\xa2Eager to learn new skills and tasks \xe2\x80\xa2Knowledge of Pipe Lazer, Pipe Transit, Line Level \xe2\x80\xa2Knowledge of construction technology, codes, standards, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2Leadership attributes include critical thinking skills, the ability to analyze data and trends, professional conduct at all times \xe2\x80\xa2High-stress tolerance; must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environment \xe2\x80\xa2A highly motivated self-starting, autonomous individual who can work independently and set priorities while balancing guidance from the management team \xe2\x80\xa2Must function well as part of the overall team \xe2\x80\xa2Good Judgment: Critical thinking and problem-solving with the ability to make solid decisions.
