Martin Marietta is currently looking for an Underground Technician at the underground mine and quarry in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. This position is responsible for ground control.
Essential Functions
- Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta\'s Guardian Angel culture
- Bore hole drilling, scoping
- Log scoping data into AutoCAD and Excel
- Ventilation surveys, mapping
- Mine mapping
- Communication with management on progress and findings
- Work in a team environment
- Train others as needed
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritizing for production needs
This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Geology degree
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year round
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- Ability to work underground
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Time management skills including planning and prioritizing multiple tasks
