Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tree care and maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tree trimming, pruning, and removal while ensuring the health of the trees and the surrounding landscape. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights using specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and aesthetics of trees. Use rigging techniques to lower branches or sections of trees safely. Conduct thorough inspections of trees to identify potential hazards or diseases. Maintain equipment, including chainsaws and climbing gear, ensuring they are in good working condition. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and garden upkeep as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Utilize GIS technology for mapping and planning tree care activities when necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in tree climbing, trimming, and care is preferred. Familiarity with crane and rigging techniques is essential. Background in landscape maintenance or lawn care is a plus. Knowledge of tree species, their growth habits, and care requirements is beneficial. Ability to work at heights safely and effectively using appropriate climbing gear. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
