Job Description

Grays Tree Service, a trusted provider of tree care services for over 25 years in central Alabama and the Southeastern United States, is seeking motivated and safety-focused Climbers to join our growing team. As a Climber, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of trees for our clients, working both independently and as part of a crew. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, problem-solving, and making quick decisions under pressure. Responsibilities

Climb trees to perform pruning, removals, and other tree care services. Operate and maintain climbing gear, chainsaws, and rigging equipment safely. Assess tree health and stability, identifying and addressing potential hazards. Apply proper pruning techniques to enhance tree health and appearance. Remove hazardous branches and trees while minimizing risks to people and property. Work closely with the ground crew to ensure efficient and safe debris removal. Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with company policies. Communicate professionally with clients, offering expert advice on tree care.

Qualifications

Experience in tree climbing, pruning, and removals. Knowledge of tree species, health assessments, and safety protocols. Ability to operate and maintain tree care tools and equipment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. ISA Certification (preferred, but not required).
