. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
healthcare, food service
, excellent cooking skills, and the ability to train and guide kitchen teams in maintaining high-quality, compliant meal service.
Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee meals that meet healthcare and dietary standards, including texture-modified diets.
Train and support facility cooks on proper food preparation methods, safe handling practices, and recipe consistency.
Assist with developing and updating recipes for various food consistencies (Regular, Soft, Minced & Moist, Pureed, etc.).
Provide coverage as a cook when needed at different facilities.
Ensure food is prepared and served according to established safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Travel regularly between assigned facilities from Orlando to South Miami.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Chef or Lead Cook in a healthcare, nursing home, or long-term care setting (required).
Working knowledge of therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
Ability to teach and mentor kitchen staff effectively.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
ServSafe certification preferred.
