Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg setting, ensuring safety and comfort.
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Assist in achieving departmental targets and contribute to team success.
Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments accurately.
Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
Engage in performance evaluations and set personal goals for improvement.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols in patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Utilize electronic health records to maintain accurate patient information.
Adapt to changing patient needs and work environment efficiently.
Experience/Qualifications
Current RN license in Alabama or compact state for travel nursing.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
Experience in MedSurg nursing, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
Understanding of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
Willingness to work towards departmental targets and team success.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing healthcare environments.
Ability to set personal goals and engage in performance evaluations.
Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation practices.
Experience in developing patient care plans with a collaborative approach.
