Travel Nurse - CVICU

13 weeks

Hours & Shift:

36 hours per week - 12 hour shifts - Day Shift

Pay Breakdown:

Gross - $2,155


Hourly - $39


OT after 40 hours - $58.50


Weekly Stipends - $1,246

Description:



CVICU Days


Unit welcomes first time travelers

2 years minimum experience required



Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS



Scrub Color: Navy



Every other weekend

Could float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, Burn ICU if needed.


Certfications: (Certs marked with are preferred):
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS



Skills: (Skills marked with are preferred)


IV therapy:


Arterial line management

Blood Product Administration

Central line care/management

PICC line management

Starting IVs



Respiratory/Thoracic:


Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal

Assist with management of BiPAP

Assist with management of CPAP

Care of Ventilated Patient



Genitourinary/Renal:


Chronic/Acute Renal failure

CVVHD/CRRT



Medications:


Continuous IV sedation

Procedural Sedation Administration

Titrate Cardiac drips

Titrate Vasoactive drips



Neurological:


CVA/Acute Stroke management



Cardiovascular:


Impella

Sheath Removal



Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response:


Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Management of dysrhythmias

Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure



Endocrine/Metabolic:


IV insulin protocols



Work Settings:


Surgical Intensive Care Unit
