Travel Day Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a dynamic emergency setting. Perform patient assessments, initiate interventions, and evaluate outcomes. Administer medications and manage acute or critical situations with precision. Float to Pediatric ED and other emergency care areas as needed. Collaborate with physicians and allied health teams to ensure coordinated care. Accurately document all patient care activities using

EPIC EMR

. Respond rapidly to trauma alerts and emergency situations. Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards. Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

License:

Active

New York RN License

(unrestricted).

Certifications:

BLS required

;

ACLS/PALS preferred.

Experience:

At least

1.5 years of recent ED or acute care experience

(within the past 2 years).

Preferred:

Prior experience in

Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers

; proficiency with

EPIC EMR.

Skills:

Strong clinical judgment, communication, multitasking, and critical thinking abilities.
