The Training Specialist plays a key role in delivering, coordinating, and supporting new hire and ongoing training initiatives--primarily focused on teller training and foundational new hire onboarding. This position ensures that all employees are well-equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide exceptional service and uphold organizational standards. Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitate teller and initial new hire training programs, both in-person and virtually. Support the Training and Development Officer in implementing the organization's training strategy and goals. Coordinate scheduling of new hire and departmental trainings, including calendar management, communication with leaders, and room/resource setup/takedown. Obtain and track training feedback and attendance, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely. Conduct and support New Account training sessions covering DDA, Savings, CDs, Guardianships, KYUTMAs, Business Accounts, Trusts, Estates, and IRAs. Responsible for ongoing New Account training and follow-up to ensure staff proficiency. Act as a point of contact for New Account questions and support. Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve learning outcomes. Assess departmental training needs along with Management and assist in developing specific training solutions. Assist with the creation, revision, and maintenance of training manuals, reference guides, job aids, and 'Best Practices' resources. Maintain up-to-date resources in Microsoft TEAMS, ensuring accessibility and relevance. Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Maintain accurate training records, reports, and documentation. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of training content with compliance, policies, and operational needs. Serve as a motivating and positive presence for new hires and learners, fostering engagement and confidence. Attend and complete required Train-the-Trainer programs and other professional development opportunities. Participate in company-sponsored events and community activities as needed. Uphold organizational values, ethics, and integrity, serving as a role model for others. Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills / Abilities:

3-5 years of Banking experience required; prior teller, universal banker, or branch operations experience strongly preferred. Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Ability to facilitate group learning both face-to-face and virtually. Strong communication and public speaking skills; able to connect with diverse audiences. Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills. Experience with end-to-end account opening procedures, including required documentation and disclosures. Demonstrated ability to simplify complex procedures into easy-to-understand steps. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Teams, Word, and Excel. Canva is a plus. Strong technical aptitude and comfort with digital learning platforms. Collaborative and team-oriented; able to build and maintain professional relationships. Strong mentoring mindset with a passion for developing others. Familiarity with account maintenance, documentation, and account setup systems. Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges. Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and operational best practices. Capable of designing engaging instructional materials and applying adult learning principles. Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Energetic, approachable, and inspiring presence. Coachable and teachable, eager to learn and grow. Education and Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of banking experience required. Prior experience in training, coaching, or instructional design preferred. Prior experience with account opening procedures required. Working knowledge of banking regulations impacting account opening (CIP, BSA/AML, OFAC) High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements


-------------------------

Office and training room environments; frequent use of computer and presentation equipment. Requires comfort with standing for portions of the workday. Must maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Travel is required across markets as determined by training needs. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
