Your Role:

Under general direction, handles multiple property damage claims, evaluation of auto and motorcycle damage, negotiation of car damage estimates and out of state losses. Handles claims coverage issues over the telephone; preparation and settlement of total loss claims; investigation and settlement of theft and fire claims.

Your work:

  • Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles auto, property damage or total loss claims and adjusts claims to conclusion.
  • Adjusts claims that require outside field assignments.
  • Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles total theft and fire claims from start to finish.
  • Heavy fraud detection component.
  • Coordinates with fire inspectors and field personnel to conduct investigations.
  • Claims are taken by FNOL.
  • Process payments appropriately and review with supervision beyond authority.
  • Prepares file for authority review with supervisor or manager.
  • May monitor repairs of damaged vehicles belonging to an insured or a third party.
  • Work a shift between core business hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Adjusters license or ability to obtain a license.
  • 2 more years of property and casualty claims experience required, field or office based.
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Basic math and moderate computer skills with technical aptitude to utilize a variety of software applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, changing environment.
  • Possesses demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of successful progression through job family levels, inclusive of auto-body repair practices and procedures.

The national average salary range for this position is $56,430 - $62,700/year. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $50,760 - $75,400/year. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
