Summary The Tool/Mold Maker position is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance on plastic injection molds, repairing and modifying molds, and helping with the construction of new molds. This position operates under direction of the Tool Room Manager. This is a full time, Monday through Friday, first shift position. Overtime available from 15% to 25%
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a tool room required.
- Must have experience operating manual vertical milling machines, horizontal lathes, and surface grinders.
- Must be able to read blueprints and have shop math skills.
- Excellent professional communication skills required.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Communicate in a professional manner at all times with co-workers, Supervisors, Vendors and Customers.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Experience in plastic injection molding required.
- State of CT mold maker or tool maker journeyman certification
- Associates Degree
- Experience using a ProtoTRAK milling machine
- CAD/CAM Software experience
