Position Overview



We are seeking a reliable and hardworking

Temporary Loading & Unloading Associate

to support the hotel with transporting, loading, and unloading storage containers at both onsite and offsite locations. This role involves physical labor, attention to safety, and the ability to follow direction in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Safely

load and unload storage containers

, equipment, boxes, and hotel materials. Transport items between

onsite storage

,

offsite storage units

, and hotel areas.

Organize and stack

materials to ensure safe and efficient space usage. Assist with

inventory checks

, labeling, and documenting moved items as needed. Use proper

lifting techniques

and handle hotel property with care. Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas. Report any

damaged items

, safety hazards, or equipment concerns to management. Follow all hotel safety procedures and work under the direction of hotel leadership.

Physical Requirements



This role requires significant physical activity:

Ability to

lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs

repeatedly. Ability to

bend, kneel, crouch, twist, push, and pull

throughout the shift. Ability to

stand and walk for extended periods

. Must work in varying conditions such as

heat, cold, dust, uneven surfaces, and confined spaces

. Must be comfortable entering

storage units, trucks, and tight spaces

.

Safety Precautions (Required)



The temporary worker must follow all safety protocols, including:

Personal Safety



Use

proper lifting techniques

: lift with legs, not back. Wear required

PPE

(Hotel will provide or specify): Closed-toe, slip-resistant footwear Work gloves Safety vest (if working around vehicles or heavy equipment) Back support brace (optional but recommended) Stay hydrated, especially when working outdoors or in hot environments.

Situational Awareness



Keep pathways clear and avoid creating tripping hazards. Do not overload carts, dollies, or storage containers. Ensure items are stacked safely to prevent collapse or injury. Maintain awareness when working near: Loading docks Vehicles Elevators Storage-unit doors and closing mechanisms

Operational Safety



Ask for help with items that are too heavy or awkward to lift alone. Inspect containers, dollies, and equipment before use. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Follow all instructions from hotel management regarding equipment use, routes, and procedures.

Qualifications



Previous experience with

manual labor

, warehouse work, or moving is preferred but not required. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions. Must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while representing the hotel. Must be able to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Employment Status



This is a

temporary assignment

. Duration and schedule will be determined by hotel operational needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
