We are looking for two different positions for our laborers:
LABORER #1 -- "Vault Setter / Quality Man"
Goal: Handle the vault installation details -- level, conduit setup, and sealing -- so every vault passes inspection first time. Morning Tasks
Load and stage vaults, conduit, foam, grout, and tools.
Check that all vault parts and accessories are on the trailer.
Confirm with foreman the vault sizes and counts for the day (12"x12" or 17"x30").
Make sure all hand tools, shovels, tampers, level, and laser receiver are ready to go.
Help place barricades and safety cones around the site.
? During Work
Assist the operator in marking vault pit dimensions.
When pit is ready:
Clean the bottom and check grade and level with laser or hand level.
Set vault carefully (using straps and bucket assist).
Check vault level -- within " tolerance.
Stub conduit entries and seal with foam or grout.
Take before/after photos (if assigned by foreman).
Help with backfill and compact in layers using hand tamper or plate compactor.
Keep vault tops and conduits clean and visible for inspection.

Clean and organize tools and materials.
Help foreman verify all vaults are complete and safe.
Load leftover materials and trash from jobsite.
Check vault count for the day with foreman for reporting.
Prep tools and vaults for next morning.
Mindset: Laborer #1 owns the quality of the vault install -- "If it's off-level, it's mine to fix before inspection."
LABORER #2 -- "Conduit / Backfill / Support Man"
Goal: Keep the job flowing -- manage conduit prep, cleanup, and support tasks so the vault and operator never stop moving. Morning Tasks
Help load PVC conduit, fittings, couplers, foam, and backfill tools.
Double-check generator, cutoff saw, and extension cords are ready.
Help stage barricades and safety tape around site.
Coordinate with foreman and operator for first vault setup.

Cut, glue, and prep conduit stubs while the pit is being dug.
Lay conduit to spec before vault placement.
After vault is set, stub conduit into the vault and seal.
Backfill around vault with shovel or compactor, watching for conduit movement.
Compact in 6-12 inch lifts for solid backfill.
Keep work area clean -- move spoils, debris, and tools efficiently.
Assist with loading/unloading vaults or heavy items.
Act as spotter for operator when digging close to utilities.

Clean up all tools, conduit scraps, and trash.
Wash off vaults if muddy or dusty.
Check that equipment is fueled and ready for the next job.
Help load up and secure all gear.
Review the day's vault count with foreman.
Mindset: Laborer #2 keeps production moving -- if the operator or setter ever has to stop and wait, jump in to fix it.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Work Location: In person
