Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities

Teen Center Attendant is responsible for providing supervision, instruction, and ongoing assistance in the Teen Center. A primary function of this role is to ensure daily routine and promote a safe space for participants occupying the Teen Center. Teen Center Attendant will set up/take down of equipment/supplies such as, tables, chairs, esports consoles, maintain bulletin board with current activities; plan and facilitate activities within the Teen Center; follow protocol regarding handling of behaviors and special needs; support staff that need to administer all medical protocols; communicate upcoming programs Teens; establish good rapport with families.

Schedule will vary between 8:30 A.M. and 10:30 P.M.
Monday thru Friday from August 15 through May 28
Teen Center Hours are Monday thru Friday, 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.

Job Qualifications

Is minimum 18 years of age. CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration and Universal Precautions Certified required within 90 days of hire.Must have a satisfactory review with the Central Registry of Child Protection. Provide 3 references. Preferred: 21 years of age

Valid Colorado Driver\'s License, appropriate insurance coverage and acceptable driving record for the past three years.

Have the ability to drive a 12-passenger van, with a clean driving record.

Education and Experience

High School diploma required. Experience taking care of children and teens, ages 5 to 17 years, in a public atmosphere required. Must have customer service experience and good conflict management skills. Knowledge of youth games, activities, and arts and craft projects also desired. Ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours at a time and lift 40lbs. Associate is expected to exhibit the district\'s core values of Honesty, Attitude, Loyalty and Teamwork.

Work Environment

The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including summer sun and temperatures. Work will be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Occasional travel by automobile is required to reach a recreation activity site located away from the Recreation Center.
