VCA East Anchorage is looking for a full or part time technician assistant to join our team. We are a busy 5 doctor practice. If you are looking for a position where you are able to grow and increase your skills this is it. Applicants must have minimum of one year experience as a technician assistant. On the job training is available but some veterinary experience is necessary. Some weekend availability is required. Emphasis on team approach to client service between receptionist, technical and veterinary staff. Compassionate care for all patients is a must.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting clients into exam rooms and collecting a brief history
- Assisting our technicians with lab sample collection, patient handling, and preparation of patient prescriptions
- Cleaning and caring for hospitalized patients
- Patient restraint for technicians and Doctors
- Some phone, client e-mails, and fax management
- Computer data entry and records management
- Surgery, anesthesia and dental experience preferred
