Job Description

Kalman & Company is seeking to hire a mid-level Technical Writer to provide logistics support services in support of Program Manager Motor Transport efforts. This position is contingent upon contract award and would support DoD clients in Stafford/Quantico, VA or Albany, GA.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Kalman & Company is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation and has knowledge of Marine Corps programs. This position offers comprehensive benefit offerings including (but not limited to) 401K match, health and dental, life insurance and PTO.

Specific Duties:

Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities Create and maintain the information architecture

Minimum Qualifications:

US Citizenship Required An Active Secret Clearance required. At least 3 years of proven working experience in technical writing for a government program. Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures Excellent written skills in English Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Basic familiarity with the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany Technical Publications

Preferred Qualifications:

4 year Degree Preferred * Prior experience with Medium and Heavy Tactical Vehicles Program Office
