Objectives of this Role

  • Manage, facilitate, and evaluate documentation standards for technical content.
  • Work with leadership and subject matter experts to assess training gaps and needs to build training programs to ensure maximum training results.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of training programs and documentation storage systems and programs used.
  • Meet Schneider\'s quality standards while maintaining working knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Training
  • Develop templates for teaching aids, such as training documentation, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference work
  • Maintain records of training activities for engineering department
  • Ensure documentation is revision controlled where appropriate
  • Develop content storage system that is easily sorted and searchable to be used by internal and external customers
  • Confer with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and technologies
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date via applicable SME and business partner collaboration
  • Project success
  • Ensure PRD is fully populated and accurate for successful iFAT
  • Complete machine documentation, including photos and videos, as requested by Design Team.
  • Drive OEM manual generation to completion.
  • Supports project team through verifying product samples are accurate upon receipt.
  • Contribute, as a member of a team of design professionals, to achieve project, department, and company goals.
  • Work on multiple, simultaneous projects within multiple design teams.
  • Communication
  • Communicate in a manner that assures clarity and understanding with both internal and external customers.
  • Collaborates with engineers to interpret technology for customer training materials and manuals.
  • Attend department and process driven meetings as requested.
  • Recommend improvements in the company\'s offerings and work procedures utilizing the Action Request process.
  • Travel required may include field support for customers to ensure satisfactory training and support. Approximately 5-10%. Must maintain valid enhanced driver\'s license and/or passport for travel.
  • Build professional skill through continued training, education, and networking events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications
  • AS in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a design-build, manufacturing environment.
  • Organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Microsoft technology including but not limited to Office365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and relevant Content Management software.
Physical/Mental Standards
  • Ability to operate computer.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for constant use of a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Speech and hearing sufficient for regular communications. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor and transaction documents.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform climbing, stooping, crouching, walking, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
  • Executing up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Close mental and visual requirements needed to perform work dealing primarily with Engineering, management, and manufacturing.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, train, check and evaluate work.
