About this Unit:

The objective of the Division of Behavioral Health Analytics, Epidemiology, and Evaluation (BHAEE) is to apply a broad range of knowledge and analytical skills to rapidly integrate, create, and share data and findings between multiple sources to ensure Agency leadership, external stakeholders, and the public have access to accurate and timely information and data to achieve objectives. This team draws on analytical skills in leadership, policy, program
management and public health communication.

The Health Information Technology (HIT) Division develops and implements all of the BHA\xe2\x80\x99s information technology efforts. This division also collaborates with the Analytics, Epidemiology, and Evaluation Division on data strategy. Between both divisions, they are tasked with modernizing the BHA\xe2\x80\x99s data strategy. The Health Information Technology Division collaborates with other Departments on data and IT initiatives. This division played a key role, along with Colorado Digital Services, in implementing the BHA\xe2\x80\x99s Care Directory, OwnPath.

About this Position:

This position analyzes data, identifies problem areas and issues, devises solutions, and prepares reports substantiating solutions; makes decisions to answer questions and provide technical information or resolves discrepancies on interpretation of program rules, regulations, processes, and other technical guidelines; and determines work processes to implement program rules, policies, and other guidelines prescribed by management.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • This position directly supports two Division Directors at the BHA with team and project management, coordinating the development of RFPs and POs, scheduling meetings, coordinating engagement sessions, managing travel, maintaining meeting minutes and agendas, ordering supplies, and other general PA duties.
  • In addition, this position develops and maintains a process to allow them to independently monitor the technology needs for staff within each division and manages software licenses and renewals, such as for statistical and program management software.
  • This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a process for coordinating CORA and other data requests across these two Divisions and ensuring staff within the Divisions adhere to required and/or agreed upon deadlines.
  • This position independently handles onboarding and offboarding technology products, as well as ordering all software, computers, and computer supplies.
  • This position coordinates all eClearance processes.
  • Other duties include but not limited to overseeing computer/email access, changes and revoke requests; maintaining office equipment; verifying and paying vendor bills, coordinating and communicating contract monitoring meeting needs; general coordination of the Divisional work efforts, as needed; and occasional data entry for special projects.
  • This position supports the Division Directors to prepare reports, briefs and presentations on research findings and recommendations and use exceptional professional judgment and discretion when handling highly sensitive and confidential data (i.e. human subjects\' data

Five years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position

Qualifications and Qualities that allow you to stand out
The following supplemental experience, competencies and abilities are highly desirable for this position and may be considered in selecting the successful candidate:
  • Experience on using a relational database.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to use Google products such as Google Docs, Google Calendar, etc.
  • Knowledge of Kronos as this position will be one of the primary timekeepers for the Division of Child Welfare.
  • Ability to process and track all clearance items incoming and outgoing in CDHS eClearance system.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and skill in resolving issues and finding answers
  • Strong writing skills \xe2\x80\x93 The position will require review of clearance items for: Grammar, spelling, and punctuation; and drafting letters, memoranda, emails, and other correspondence for the Facility Director.
  • Ability to prepare agendas and meeting materials; draft communications to committee members; schedule meetings; secure meeting locations; take meeting minutes; and onboard new committee members.
