Job Description



Francis of Assisi School, located in Northeast Baltimore City, Maryland is a community of excellence providing a broad, balanced human, and Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement, and service within the church and community. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as the K-8th Religion teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The Religion teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing standard based lessons as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The teacher will report to the Principal. Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the AOB Curriculum
  • Incorporate technology in instruction
  • Communicate positively and professionally with students, colleagues, parents
  • Assess students\xe2\x80\x99 skill development.
  • Use PowerSchool to document progress
  • Support the Catholic spirituality and mission of the school
  • Attend and support school events, meetings, and programs
  • Perform duties as assigned for morning, recess, cafeteria, and/or dismissal
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Must be an active practicing Catholic fully able to participate in church life
  • Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or related field
  • MSDE certification in Education
  • Must participate in faith formation trainings
