About the Role:
The Tableau Developer, Journeyman performs various tasks associated with designing and developing data visualizations using Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop, including providing visualization solutions to inform senior leader decision making and translating complex statistics so users and clients can easily understand analytic results. Collaborates with colleagues and leadership to provide a clear and intuitive approach to big data analytics through the development of informative and professional dashboards and apps. Performs transformation of vast data sets into digestible visuals, designs easy-to-understand graphic representations of data sets, and compiles data to create reports for all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to produce visualizations to communicate findings using tables and charts.
Candidates selected for interviews will be asked to provide a Tableau Dashboard work sample that does not include sensitive data.

Must have:
At least 5 years of experience in data visualization and analytics
At least 5 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency developing dashboards using Tableau products (ex: Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop)
At least 5 years of experience analyzing data to develop compelling and easy to understand visualizations
At least 3 years of experience cleaning and preparing data for dashboard development:
+ Identifying query requirements to support visualization end goals
+ Cleaning and transforming multiple data reports to accommodate analysis needs
+ Modeling and loading resultant data reports Familiarization with visualization best practices and how to apply them to complex messaging
Ability to communicate results efficiently and effectively to all levels of an organization
Bachelor of Science Degree in Data Science, Math, Economics, Business Analytics or other related technical degree
An active secret security clearance
Nice to have:
Master's degree in data science, Math, Economics, Business Analytics or other related technical degree
Tableau developer certification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A working knowledge of Naval Aviation maintenance and supply processes and their data systems (i.e., NAMP, P-485, OOMA/DECKPLATE, AMSRR, RSUPPLY, AFAST, ACES, TFMMS, SHARP/MSHARP, PSILS, and ASM)
